Course Description for
Caribou Ridge Golf Course

This golf course is not completed yet

#1 435 yds, Par 4 Stern opening hold, slight dogleg to right with slight elevated green that slopes from right to left. A rock outcropping off the tee will come into play only 180 yds out. Some of this rock cropping will have to be removed so as to receive a drive. Fairway should still have a slope from right to left off ridge.
#2 155 yds, Par 3 Medium length par 3 that should feature a three tiered green that will slope from right to left off the ridge. A fairly large & deep (3 - 5 FT) bunker will guard the green. Trees left uncut behind green will add definition & frame the hole well.
#3 572 yds, Par 5 Will likely be longest hole in all the NWT. Will play into prevailing wind from the Northwest. Green will be fairly long (40 - 55 yds Deep) and angled into the frame of trees left uncut. Green should also be two - tiered so as to provide multiple quality pin placements. All in all a very solid three shot hole.
#4 360 yds, Par 4 Excellent test of accuracy off the tee! Drive should be positioned between two target trees left uncut in fairway, about 200 - 260 yds from tee. A short to mid iron approach better not be long or will be rejected by one of many natural boulder hazards on the course. Green should be kept fairly small (no bigger than 3000 Sq. FT).
#5 490 yds, Par 5 Relatively short par 5 could be birdie hole if one can keep their ball in fairway! Watch out for boulders that will dot the fairway. Green is positioned near one of the few natural bunkers, short and right of it. This green should be three - tiered and sloped from right to left.
#6 125 yds Par 3 Shortest hole on course and could very well be the most beautiful. Uphill tee shot to a slightly crowned green will demand precise club selection. Green is well framed by large trees and two diabolical pot bunkers (4 - 6 FT Deep). No guarantee of an easy par here.
#7 425 yds, Par 4 Easily one of the best holes on the course! Elevated tee will help a person see all the trouble that waits! Dogleg to the left with a premium placed on an accurate approach to a green surrounded by a horseshoe shaped bunker and lake away from the fairway adding to the difficulty of the hole. A par 4 is a blessing.
#8 355 yds, Par 4 Uphill tee shot will have to make it to top of ridge in fairway in order to see one of the best natural settings for a golf green I have ever seen. Protected by two natural bunkers (one includes a boulder), this three - tiered green should provide many good pin placements to test the best putters around.
#9 185 yds, Par 3 Solid par 3 that will play back into the prevailing wind. The green will be protected by a fairly large and deep bunker in front. Watch out for downhill putts here, as the ridge on which the green is built will definitely influence speed.
